Keep your eyes healthy with a regular eye exam
Regular eye care, including routine eye exams, does more than ensure your clear vision: it ensures your good health as well. The Doctors of Optometry at My Pharmacy & Optical are specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of vision correction and disorders, as well as the detection of eye diseases such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. They’re able to prescribe many ophthalmic medications and often participate in pre- and post-operative surgical care.
In addition, we make sure your eyes see their best, work well together and are free from vision-related diseases.
For most people, a thorough eye examination is recommended annually and is crucial for children, those over age 40 and contact lens wearers. Consult your My Pharmacy & Optical Optometrist for advice about your specific needs.

Alan Kaufman Pharmacist
Alan Kaufman graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of South Carolina in December of 2003 and has experienced 20 years’ in retail pharmacy focusing on patient care. He is focused on providing expert advice and care for your family to help you live well. His philosophy on patient care is best described by the following quotes. “Patients want to be seen as people. For me, the person's life comes first; the disease is simply one aspect of it, which I can guide my patients to use as a redirection in their lives. When doctors look at their patients, however, they are trained to see only the disease.” – Dr Bernie Seigel. “Hope is the divine motivator, if we had no hope - for a cure, for winning the lottery, for falling in love, for the end of war, for being free of abuse, or for having food, warmth, clothing, and shelter - we would have no reason to go on.”
Alan Kaufman
